Serious Games
Run a sneaker company to understand the circular economy
My roles on this project
NKMK (Neo Kōzō Modan Kaisha) is an educational serious game developed for the Lyon Metropolis. Targeted at middle-school students (core audience: 13-15 year olds), the game aims to educate them about the principles of the circular economy, industry careers, and the environmental impact of industrial choices. It also aspires to broaden students’ general knowledge and inform their educational orientation.
In the game, players take on the role of Sonia, the CEO of a struggling sneaker company. The goal is to make the business prosper while transforming it into a flagship of circular industry. Halfway between an idle game and a management game, the gameplay combines elements of business simulation, resource management, sneaker crafting, and strategic decision-making.
